After a crappy day at work, I needed a bit of a rest in somewhere relaxed and was craving bubble tea. A friend had tweeted about Kuppa Coffee, a new student hangout between Newcastle and Northumbria universities, next to STA travel. I got mango and strawberry bubble tea. The bubble bits are amazing (I wonder if you can get alcoholic ones)?
I like the eclectic colour scheme, lights and flowers on the wall. There’s thirty types of bubble tea to choose from, as well as the usual caffeinated and soft beverages. There’s also a great selection of teas and juices. It’s quiet at the moment and with the jazz going in the background, very relaxing. I bet it’s full during the day due to its central location.
It’s very cosy with a cute little chubby hole of an area with a bookshelf if you fancy a read.
I’ll be back with a couple of friends to work my way through the bubble tea menu, and try to avoid booking a holiday next door afterwards 🙂
