Newcastle Bottomless Brunches Roundup

I decided to make a list of things that I wanted to do as Lockdown lifts and let’s just say a lot of my ideas involved alcohol. I think I’ve only been for a couple of bottomless brunches in the past so I wanted to look into which restaurants were offering them and how they differed. Here’s what I found out:

Revolution de Cuba

I’m going here soon so will do a review! You’ll find Rev de Cuba right in the centre of Newcastle not far from the train station in the Cloth Market. The cocktails are amazing here and I love the bright colour scheme!

Drinks wise there’s a lot of choice – Aperol Spritz (that’s what I’m going for), Prosecco, Bloody Mary, Strawberry Daiquiri, Spanish Shandy (lemon beer), Mahou pints (beer) and Love Daiq-tually cocktail. The drinks will keep coming for ninety minutes. Brunch dishes include a traditional Full English, Chorizo hash, Cubano Benedict (pulled pork) and Breakfast Burrito (with sausage, bacon and chorizo). Vegetarian options include Avocado Brunch (sourdough topped with guacamole and mango salsa) and Sweetcorn Fritters.

The costs changes depending on the time slot you choose – 11am/11.30 am is £30, 12pm/12.30pm/1pm is £25 and 1.30pm/2pm is £30. Available seven days a week.

The Alchemist

Known for it’s cocktails that look like something out of Harry Potter (lots of dry ice and theatre), the Alchemist is also conveniently in the centre of town in Eldon Square (close to the Monument). The version is called Boundless Brunch/Murder on the Dancefloor and is accompanied by cool hits from the 00s (it says think Daft Punk and Spiller). Be aware that the standard brunch option comes with three cocktails, and you have to pay £10 more for unlimited cocktails.
